BMW Car Club - Scotland

March 2002 Monthly Meet

The second monthly meet took place on the 31st of March and was attended by 7 folk. James was happily snapping away with his camera and you can see the results below:

Although we're keen not to see the region being overly formal, some brief minutes were produced and are included here so that everyone gets to see what's going on.

The evening was designed to establish contact with you all and to guage your requirements from the club, to that end the following list of possible events was drawn up:-

  1. Dealer visit(s) - action FD/JHSW
  2. Track Day(s) - action FD/JHSW
  3. Treasure hunt(s) - action FD/JHSW
  4. Go kart races at Raceland Haddington possibly multi-marque challenge with TVR/Porsche/Ferrari clubs. - action FD/JHSW
  5. Mixed sport events at Knockhill (Karts/Quads/Offroad/Track racing) - action FD/JHSW
  6. BMWCCGB National events e.g. 50th Anniversary event at Bedford Aerodrome 21st - 23rd June. - action FD/JHSW
  7. Classic car shows - action FD/JHSW

The above list is not exhaustive and we are always open to suggestions so feel free to drop us a line or bring up a new venue at the monthly meetings. Fraser and myself will investigate the above events and draw up a list of dates for events which can be discussed at the next meeting.

We also discussed the possibility of Simon Nelson setting up a trade account with a dealership to allow club members access to trade price parts - still to be finalised. - action SN
