BMW Car Club - Scotland

February 4th 2007 - Wheel Inn Scone

This was the first meeting of the 2007 season.

Indications on the forums suggested that this was going to be a well attended meeting. Two convoys were made, one from South Queensferry for the East Coasters (15 cars) and the other from Stirling for the West Coasters (14 cars). In all there were 34 cars in attendance at the meeting - and one or two late comers boosted that number even further.

Although the weather was sunny, sunny enough for the Zedders to go topless, the roads were still wet (and salty) and although everyone had made an effort to have their cars shiny for the meeting, by the time we reached Scone they were filthy again - see photos below.

What a mix of cars - a couple of new M5's, M3 CSL's, M3's and a mix of other metal old and new. We even allowed a Porsche, but that's only because Paul was an ex BMW owner.

If this meet is anything to go by, 2007 looks to be an exciting season.
