BMW Car Club - Scotland

BMWCC National Festival, Gaydon, Warwick - 10th August 2008

This was the the Scottish Regions 6th visit to the BMWCC National Festival at the National Heritage Motor Museum, Gaydon.

We had been offered 25 places by the club for our stand and these places were initially filled. However due to late call-offs, we ended up with 21 cars, even so, we were still one of the biggest, if not the biggest Regional Stand.

As can be seen from the pictures below, we had a good selection/mix of cars

• 3 Series - E30, E36, E46, M3, M3 GT and Coupes
• 5 Series
• 6 Series
• Z Cars - Z3 Roadster, Z4M Coupe

Saturday was supposed to be prep day for the cars - people must have thought we were daft cleaning the cars in the pouring rain, but it had to be done.

The forecast for Sunday was showers. Early morning, leaving the hotel, there was nice sunshine. We got the cars lined up ready for display, then some of us went off to assist with marshalling. Meanwhile, the remaining members set up the Gazebo and BBQ and by the time marshalling was over, the bacon butties were ready. Later in the day, there were a couple of heavy showers and a strong breeze but overall, the weather held out.

Again another good showing for the Scottish Region, with a lot of people passed through our stand and showing a lot of interest in our cars. It was also great to meet up with friends, BMWCC members and other forum's members.
