2012 Scottish Region Concours
3rd June 2012

The region's Concours for 2012 will once again be held at Ross Priory on the banks of Loch Lomond. This amazing venue has done us proud in past years and offers spectacular scenery as a backdrop to the competition.

  • Entry is restricted to BMW and BMW Minis
  • The judging rules used will be those available from the Members Area (login required) on the Car Club Website.
  • Only BMWCC Members may win the Shield
  • You may arrive from 10am. Judging will take place from 11:30 am.
  • There is an external tap available connected to a hose. Please bring your own buckets.
  • There is a slight change this year as many of you will know that Meguiars are now the official sponser of the BMWcc Concours. Meguiars will be putting up all the prizes and trophies. We will be running 2 classes in the show -
    • Masterclass(concours)
    • Pride of ownership (Show n Shine)
  • There will be a charge of £10 (adult) / £5 (child) for this event; this is to allow the club to make a donation to Ross Priory (part of the University of Strathclyde - The University of Strathclyde is a charitable body, registered in Scotland, number SC015263.) for kindly agreeing to host the event. It will also cover a BBQ.
  • There is a small kids play park so please feel free to bring the family.

  • Approaching the venue from Gartocharn, you will come to a gatehouse where there is signage indicating that you are entering private grounds.
  • You will drive towards the venue on a long driveway. It is imperative that all driving is controlled and slow. This is a family venue so there are highly likely to be children and animals on the grounds - drive carefully.
  • Please have your entrance money ready to minimise vehicle queuing.
  • All BMWs and BMW Minis may park by the Loch in the Competition Area, all others should park in the signed car park. In the event of foul weather, we may use a section of the car park (which is largely sheltered by trees) for the competition.
  • When entering the competition area, give way at all times to anyone manœuvering a boat / trailer.
  • Winners / small numbers of vehicles may be able to stop in front of the Priory itself for photo opportunities. Please only set this up after having consulted with Duncan.
  • Entrants may stop to use the hose / external tap at the boathouse. All washing activity involving volumes of water should take place on the hard standing in that area.
  • Final cleaning / prep may be carried out in the Competition area.

Please contact Issy with any queries or suggestions ahead of the event.
